"Guilt is adaptive and helpful—it’s holding something we’ve done or failed to do up against our values and feeling psychological discomfort." - Brene Brown
Shame is bad, it serves no purpose. Guilt isn't meant to solve the past, it is meant to build a more accountable future.
Anxiety has no redeeming qualities. It tries so hard to keep us safe... but, it is a little too enthusiastic. Ya know?

I still suffer from much anxiety about the future, to the point where it sometimes consumes me with dread. And I do have plenty of guilt about some of the things I did when I was younger. But yet, having guilt gives you remorse, which leads towards asking a higher power for forgiveness. I'd rather that, than have no remorse, and thus no growth towards being a better, more giving and loving being.
