Limits

Hard limits soft limits what are they. Well for me most limits are soft becasue I have never done them. I cant really say no if I havent tried it.
There are things that scare the crap out of me and I'm sure in the right hands they would be enjoyable. Today as I got ready for work I realized nope I now have a hard limit.
I have always had a fear of having my nose and mouth covered. I tend to hit a bit of panic when that happens. So as I walked into work putting on my medical mask it hit me.. hell no will I ever cover my nose and mouth again unless required by my job.
Breathing the hot moist air makes my nose run, makes me feel like I cant get a deep breath. This makes me feel like I'm slowly suffocating and makes my anxiety higher. So now I have my first hard limit (besides the usual scat urine kids perm marks). I always thought it would be an experience i had in a dynamic that would set limits for me. Who knew COVID would pretend to be my Dom and show me a limit.
To those of you that enjoy masks and gags i bow down to you. I honestly have no idea how its enjoyable but for me it's a hard no.
So here i have to say cloth, medical, surgical, bandanas, n-95 leather, silk satin or even lace and gags are now a hard limit for me. Lol crazy to think right.
Kink on my friends, stay safe and mask what ever way you want but for me it wont ever me for fun!

HGB(sub female){Scottish M} - Face masks and bandanas are nothing like a ball gag. Now breath play is similar so you would probably want to avoid that.

SirsBabyDoll(sub female){Pizza+☕} - As someone who DOES enjoy breath play, I can understand your feelings. Yes, I know, it sounds odd, but I do.

I can't handle belts. It's ok. For me, being forced to slow my breathing, to intensely focus on the in and out, calms my mind like a meditation. It intensifies my sensations and I can let go of my inhibitions easier. But that's ME!

Take it for what you will but if I were to give advice, I would say "hold fast to your hard limit but keep exploring WHY it's a hard limit. Dig deeper than "it triggers my anxiety". Find out what it is within the anxiety that you associate with breath loss.". Congratulations on finding a limit, BEFORE it's too late.

Pheonix J(sub female) - Breath play isnt the issue it's the heat from having cloth over my nose and mouth. Ball gags are still a consideration but a fear

SirsBabyDoll(sub female){Pizza+☕} - If I may ask, has this ever come up before? For example, can you have your head under a blanket? Is it the heat, or the not being able to breath, such as when swimming under water.

As for haha, I've never tried a ball gag. I have a bar gag. It's basicly a piece of plastic that I can chomp my teeth into. Even when cranked down right, I can still push it out with my tongue. *Smirks* and put it back, all while hog tied and on my stomach. I'm afraid of the spider gag, but that's cause I just don't look good with drool coming out of my mouth.

SirsBabyDoll(sub female){Pizza+☕} - Me too....but oddly, when I'm being vulnerable, I HATE air FLOW....the slightest breeze or even the air from an air conditioner, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I can't focus on letting go.

Satindragon{Not Lookin} - I don’t do bags over the head or breath play. I do have a leather bar gag that I like. It’s like a bit for a horse. Difference, is what makes the world go round.
